April 16 CPAC Meeting Presentation Storm water Run-Off and Community Planning

At the April 16, 2011 CPAC General Meeting, Robert Emanual, Water Resources and Community Development Specialist, with the Oregon State University Extension in Tillamook, gave a presentation on Storm Water Run Off and Low Impact Development (LID) in regards to Community Planning.   He explained how proper planning and approaches to run off would improve our environment.   He recommended two books on the subject:  Citizens Guide to Planning by Duerksen, Dale, and Elliott and  Envisioning Better Communities by Randall Arendt.   The CPAC Community Planning Review Committee is currently borrowing these publications for use in reviewing the Community Plan and related zoning.
