On March 6, 2012 at 5:30 – 9:00 pm you will have an opportunity to participate in a public meeting regarding the Territorial Sea Spatial Planning. It will be held at the Kiawanda Community Center at 34600 Cape Kiwanda Drive in Pacific City.
Why is this important to you? The Marine Map, that shows us where wave energy development can or cannot occur on our coast, is coming together very quickly. Many groups have been involved including county and city governments, fishing, recreational users, electric utilities and other interest groups. But YOU, the residents and visitors to our area have been missing from these discussions, until now. A series of meetings have been held in the valley and on the Oregon Coast. The meeting in Pacific City is the last one in the series. Your opinions need to be heard. Please be there.
To come up to speed on this topic, David Yamamoto and the Tillamook Futures Council has been kind enough to share the attached presentation with our membership on our website. It is the same presentation that was made at our CPAC on Saturday February 18. Please read through this document. It is a good summary of where we are today.
Most importantly attend the public meeting on March 6 at 5:30 pm. at the Kiawanda Community Center and give your feedback
