The Land Use Committee will meet on May 3, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the Kiawanda Community Center on Cape Kiwanda Drive in order to discuss a side yard variance request from 15 feet to 5 feet. This is for a home at 34510 Salal Drive. The variance is needed to build steps to give reasonable access to the main front door. Apparently, an architectural error was not discovered by the county inspectors, the builder or the owner until the house was nearly completed. To correct the problem they will need a variance on the side yard.
The application for this variance is attached. Written feedback is needed by May 7, 2012 – therefore the CPAC Is calling a Land Use Committee meeting on May 3rd and will be followed by an emergency CPAC meeting to vote on this issue.
