CU-12-05a Application Convert Single Family Home to a Duplex in a low density area

A conditional use application has been received by the Department of Community Development, to convert a single family home at 35690 Sunset Drive to a duplex.    This property is located in a Low Density R-1 Zone.   The application and description is attached.   Written comments regarding this application can be sent to the Department of Community Development,  1510-B Third Street, Tillamook, Oregon 97141.   The Deadline is October 22 at 4 PM.

The application is attached.   If you have comments regarding this application and change in density for this lot,  voice your concerns to the Department of Community Development by October 22.

Withdrawal of Conditional Use Request for 50th Communications Tower on Cape Kiwanda Drive

We received word from the Department of Planning and Development that the conditional use request, CU-11-06,  for a 50ft Communications Tower on Cape Kiwanda Drive has been withdrawn.

CU-11-06 (a) Request for a 50 foot communications tower on Cape Kiwanda Drive

A Conditional Use Request (CU-11-06 (a)) has been made by Tillamook Light Wave (property owner) and the University of Washington to erect a 50 foot antenna communications tower at 33395 Cape Kiwanda Drive.   This area is zoned High Density Residential (PCW-R3).
The original purpose of the property was a fiber optic communications station.  It is being converted as a land station for marine fiber optics to be used as part of a new Ocean Observatory.  The tower will be used to facilitate the reception of necessary GPS signals and some transmission of VHF and CB radio type signals.  It will have a narrow profile with a relative small antenna and will have a 5ft x 5ft x 6ft concrete base.   This is an administrative review and was received by the PC/W CPAC on April 27th and the deadline for written comments is May 17th at 4 pm.   A picture of the type of tower being proposed is also attached below.

CPAC has a meeting scheduled on May 16th –  a Land Use Committee meeting will be held prior to the General CPAC meeting.  Time and place of the LUC will be determined in the near future and will be posted on this website.    The application is attached.
